Dinner with Pastor Barry and Lesley

Our friends Barry and Lesley were in town recently, and we met them for dinner at their hotel.

Dinner at Titanic Restaurant

Seda's fellow managers from Transform Cambodia met us for dinner last Sunday night as well as Mr. Wayne and Sheryl. They gave her a very nice necklace as a gift.

Seda and Friends at the Night Market...

Swarmed!

There is this strange bug that is attracted to both water and light at nighttime, and has visited our house in swarms a few times lately....

Preaching in the Khmer Service

Just can't get my head around it....

I never got used to this, but for some reason, most Cambodians throw all of their garbage (old bones, cans, tissues, anything that they don't want to eat) on the floor during the meal... this is not a result of clean-up, but of a good meal...

Don't worry... he'snot really for sale...

Good to know...

The problem is that this sign does not need to be in English... it needs to be in Khmer!

we are not Trekkies....

Seda and I watched the new Star Trek movie one night, and the next day, I saw this... I never would have seen it otherwise...

Get back (We got the visa!)

Just a short note to all of you out there who have been praying for us over the last few days in regard to Seda's immigration visa. In short, she got it! We are supposed to pick it up next week, and then we can begin to think about travel arrangements to get back to the States. We are really excited to be coming for a lot of reasons, not the least of which are seeing friends and family (read: all of you!). Have a great week, and may Jesus bless you!

New Year's Vacation at Sihanoukville 2010

Here are a bunch of pics from our Christmas present to the family... a trip to the beach! Sihanoukville, Cambodia... 7 of the ten people in our group had never been to the ocean, so we had a great time... also, it was the first time for some of them to stay in a hotel... an interesting experience complete with taking all of the free soap, shampoo, etc...
